A Repair Shop for Enchanted Objects

In this cluttered repair shop, ordinary objects have minds of their own. A lightbulb floats free of its rack, glowing beside a cat pouncing at a hovering orb, while a shelf of teapots hums out musical notes above simmering cauldrons of green and orange potion on the stove. A broom sweeps the floor by itself, tangled among brushes and mops leaning nearby, and a giant clock face turns its gears against the wall. At the center, workers measure and roll up patterned carpets that hover above their stands, and one hauls off a golden ewer. Near the mirrors, a customer tries on hats while his reflection shows a different outfit, and a runaway shoe drifts past an open wardrobe. Cats and mice slip between spilled puddles and toppled books, while at the counter a clerk rings up a customer, each bewitched corner of the shop keeping to its own task.
