Bottle Kiln of the Potter Town

A great bottle kiln lies tipped on its side in the middle of a pottery town, its dome painted in patterned panels of birds, lotus flowers and clouds in blue, green, red and gold. Three arched firing mouths glow orange along the base, with mushrooms growing beside them. Its long neck points to the upper right, ringed in gold and spilling a bouquet of flowers from its lip, while a tiny town and an amphitheatre climb inside the neck and a road spirals around it. A cherry tree grows on the dome. Colourful houses, towers, domes and a pagoda surround it, and market stalls on the left are crowded with pots, jugs and bowls in every colour. The decorated panels offer clear, separate patterns.
