Chinese Cloud Scroll Pattern

Traditional cloud-scroll motifs cover the frame in a dense, continuous weave, each puffy scallop edged in gold like lacquered wood or embroidered silk. The clouds curl into tight spirals of green, blue, red, teal, and magenta, overlapping so closely that no plain background remains visible anywhere. Small painted flowers, buds, and leaf sprigs dot the gaps between the larger scrolls, adding quiet detail to the bold outlines. Some clouds swell into rounded, lobed shapes while others stretch into long ribbon-like waves, giving the surface a sense of movement without any single wind or direction to follow.
