Crowded Winter Train Station Concourse

Bundled travelers in scarves and wool hats fill a glass-roofed station concourse, queuing at ticket barriers beneath a departure board and a distant platform where a train waits. A newsstand stocked with papers and postcards stands near the entrance, while shoppers line up at a ticket counter and travelers wheel suitcases past a shelf stacked with luggage. In the middle of the hall, a flower stall bursts with potted blooms and greenery, a small dog chasing pigeons nearby as skis and poles are carried past wrapped gifts left on the floor. To one side, a café serves coffee and pastries at small tables while a worker mops up a spilled puddle nearby. Benches near the center fill with seated passengers reading maps, holding a balloon, or minding luggage, and a line forms at the cash machines. An information desk and restrooms complete the hall, each gate its own small world.
