Domed Greenhouse Full of Orchids

A domed glasshouse of iron and glass shelters a dense collection of tropical blooms, its arched panes letting in pale daylight from above. Cascades of orchids in purple, orange, yellow, and white spill from hanging baskets and climb the columns, while potting tables along both walls hold terracotta pots, blue-and-white ceramics, brass watering cans, and pruning shears. A terracotta fountain trickles at the center of a stone-paved floor, ringed by a bed of low flowering plants and flanked by two wrought-iron benches. Palms and ferns rise between the pillars, and bromeliads in red and coral cluster near the base of every table. Straight ahead, open glass doors frame a further garden of hedges and blossoms under open sky. Every shelf and bench holds its own cluster of pots and blooms, so the eye is never short of a new corner to settle into.
