Figure Inspecting Clock Tower Gears

The inside of a clock tower opens across several timber galleries. At its heart a vast gear train turns in brass and copper, a white clock face set into the middle of the wheels, with weights and brass pendulums hanging on chains beside it. A spiral staircase winds up the left wall, past workbenches of tools, a red toolbox and blue drawings. Tall gothic windows look out over a town of steep red roofs and green hills. On the upper deck a mechanic kneels at a smaller gear assembly, sleeves rolled; wrenches and calipers hang in rows on the right wall above a bench of loose cogs. Brass wheels, grey stone and warm plank floors keep three clear territories, so even this much machinery stays readable while you sort it.
