Figure Waiting at Crystal Station

A railway station cut into a crystal cavern. Violet and blue crystals push through the walls and rise in clusters along the platforms, lit from within, while iron arches and a glowing pillar carry the vaulted roof. A silver locomotive marked Cavern Express waits at the far platform under signs for Platforms 1–6, Tickets & Information and Refreshments. A wooden kiosk sells Gemstone Goods beside The Crystal Booknook, and an illuminated board displays mineral maps. Travellers in long coats and hats cross a stone bridge and gather with cases and carpet bags under gas lamps; a clerk leans from the ticket window. Benches, clocks and iron railings run the length of the platform. Warm lamplight, cold crystal and grey stonework divide the scene into three clear zones to work through.
