Gondola Wedding on the Grand Canal

A gondola with a tall golden prow and a dark curved stern floats down a canal and fills the picture. Crimson drapes hang over the front, and a row of blue, gold, green and pink carpets runs along the side. In the middle stands a coral canopy with tassels, and a wedding couple dances on its roof beneath a teal tree, while another pair dances beside them. Musicians play on the deck, a cat walks along the curtain, and a woman sits at a small keyboard at the back with another cat. Around the boat spreads a city of orange and pink palaces, green domes, a tall brick bell tower, arched bridges, plazas full of people and small boats. The canopy, the carpets and the domes each have a colour of their own, so the pieces are easy to match.
