Heap of Scattered Playing Cards

Playing cards spill across the entire frame in every direction, layered so thickly that almost no card lies flat and alone. Face-up cards show aces, kings, queens, and jacks in full court dress, along with plain number cards in hearts, clubs, spades, and diamonds. Card backs add their own patterns, deep red and blue scrollwork, ornate gold medallions, and a couple of vintage card boxes labeled Hoyle and Bicycle tucked among the pile. Some decks look old-fashioned with painted royal figures in reds and golds, while others use a cleaner modern print. Corners overlap corners at sharp diagonal angles, so a single card might show only its pip in one corner while the rest hides beneath its neighbors. The jumble mixes at least three or four distinct deck designs, giving the whole heap a slightly different texture wherever the eye lands.
