Medieval Guildhall Crowded with Trade

A stone guildhall bustles with medieval townsfolk queued along a purple carpet, waiting their turn before a jeweler who sorts gems and coins on a felt-lined tray. Behind him, sacks of wool and bundled fleece are stacked beside a window, and a weaver works a loom strung with bright striped thread while a dog naps nearby. In the workshop beyond, two carpenters saw and plane fresh timber boards, sawdust curling across the floor, and a blacksmith's anvil sits cold beside a bucket splashing water. Further along the green carpet, richly dressed merchants carry a wooden chest and jars toward a row of hooded scribes bent over ledgers at a long desk, one of them sweeping the floor with a mop.
