Military Medals and Ribbon Bars

Dozens of military medals and ribbon bars overlap edge to edge with no gap of background showing anywhere. Round medallions in gold, silver, and bronze carry embossed eagles, wreaths, and heraldic lions, while cross-shaped medals with white or silver arms sit beside gold stars and shield badges. Striped ribbon bars in red, blue, green, and yellow run in every direction, some plain, some banded, some with a single black stripe cutting through pale blue. Small enamel details pick out finer decorations, all bold and saturated, primary red and blue against gold and silver metal. Nothing in the pile points toward a single center; the same handful of shapes repeat and overlap at every angle. With so many similar medals crowded together, a solver will end up sorting by ribbon color and shape before each piece returns to place.
