Okapi Crossing the Footbridge Swamp

A towering okapi steps over a root in a flooded forest, its face and ears washed in orange, lilac and teal while its hindquarters carry bold purple and cream zebra stripes. Its pink tongue curls out below a patient dark eye. Along its back lies a small hillside where tiny villagers dig, carry baskets and cross a humped wooden footbridge, with giant blue and pink mushrooms and yellow star flowers growing beside them. All around, plank walkways zigzag over still blue water dotted with red lilies and lily pads. Frogs sit on fallen logs, a heron wades near a hollow tree, and red, blue and gold ferns crowd every bank. The stripes, bridges and ferns each hold a colour of their own, so the picture breaks into pieces with clear edges.
