Painted Elephant Strolling Through the Palace Gardens

A painted elephant walks across a palace garden laid out in a grid of white tile paths, blue water channels and square flower beds. Its gray skin is covered with orange spirals, pink lotus flowers and teal dots, and a green cloth with gold tassels hangs over its back. On the cloth stands a small pavilion with red domes, where people sit on rugs sharing tea. Lemon trees grow beside it, and a little pond with a garden sits on its roof. A ladder leans against the elephant's side, a child slides down the ear, and kites fly from its head. Water sprays from the raised trunk like a fountain, and purple mushrooms grow on a tusk. Around it are fountains, arched bridges, cypress trees and pink and lilac blossom beds, which make a neat patchwork of color.
