Painted Watering Can Above the Canal Rooftops

A huge watering can with a floral-patterned body in blue, coral and mint stands among the tiled rooftops of a canal town. Its pink handle arches overhead with a footbridge along it, and its spout ends in a purple rose head where a worker on a ladder cleans the holes. Inside the open top, gardeners plant small fruit trees in a bed of soil. A chain hangs from the handle, and bellflowers, coral, yellow mushrooms and purple fronds grow from the rim. Around it, blue, red, orange and green roofs hold raised planters of dark-leaved plants and yellow flowers, and canals with rowing boats and lily pads wind between the houses.
