Pelican Beak Harbour and Fishing Village

A pelican with a cream head, turquoise eye and long amber bill dominates a colourful fishing harbour. Its open pouch holds a small sea of its own, where divers in brass helmets stand beside a treasure chest, an octopus, a seahorse, fish and a yellow submarine. Fishermen walk along the bill, and barnacles and seaweed trail down the neck and across the multicoloured feathers. Beyond the bird, blue, red and yellow cottages climb stone steps with washing lines and purple blossom, and a red-and-white lighthouse stands near a fish stall under a striped awning. Boats rock on the green water, seagulls perch on the quay, cats doze and lobster pots stack up at the corner. The sea inside the pouch is its own bright zone, so that part falls together first.
