Preparing Medieval Festival Cour

A cobbled medieval street dressed for a festival. Painted banners in red, blue, green and gold hang on lines between half-timbered houses, and heraldic flags fly from a stone gatehouse and tower at the end of the street. A decorated wagon draped in coloured cloth stands mid-street, flowers heaped in baskets around its wheels. Stalls line both sides: a Festival Bakery piled with loaves and pretzels under a sun banner, a Clay & Craft table of glazed jugs and bowls, a rail of red and blue robes at Mercantile Goods, and barrels stacked under a Trade & Amusements awning. Drums and a lute rest on the stones in the foreground. A woman on a ladder hangs a griffin banner beside the sign of The Boar's Head. Rows of glazed pottery and stacked bread break the stalls into easy clusters.
