Scattered Ceramic Floral Tiles

Square ceramic tiles lie scattered and overlapping at every angle, some square to the frame and others tilted into diamonds. Each tile carries a different hand-painted floral design: a blue six-petaled flower on cream, an orange daisy ringed in green, a deep red medallion, or a lattice of small blue blossoms. A few tiles break from the floral theme entirely, one showing a plain red heart, another a checkerboard of mustard and rust. The tiles overlap so densely that only slivers of each lower tile peek out from beneath the ones stacked on top, and their raised edges catch a faint shadow that gives the pile real thickness. Blue and white dominate one corner while warm orange and red cluster in another, though no single color rules the whole frame. Every tile is a separate closed shape, already outlined and ready to be lifted free of its neighbors.
