Secretary Bird Striding Through the Painted Meadows

A secretary bird, with a crest of long green and blue quills, a coral face and a hooked teal beak, strides across a patchwork meadow. Its back is deep blue with a folded wing of overlapping cream, coral, lilac and teal feathers, and its long legs end in big clawed feet. Little people live on it: a gardener works inside a fenced plot on the back, builders climb ladders by the shoulder, and a rope bridge links the thigh to a lookout platform. Flowers and pink mushrooms sprout along its spine. Below, pink and yellow paths wind past lily ponds, a treehouse, and walkers carrying baskets. Each feather, path and bush holds its own colour, so the picture breaks into pieces that are easy to place.
