Snowmobile Rescue Camp on Patchwork Snow

A huge coral and teal snowmobile sits on a snowfield tiled in soft pastel squares, with curved blue skis, a clear windscreen, handlebars and gauges, and thick caterpillar tracks. Rescue crews work all over it. A hut village and a lookout tower fill the hood, a rope climber scales the windscreen, and a flower bed grows by the handlebars. Four small white tents with red crosses stand on the purple seat, with stretchers carried between them. A cook stirs a pot in a galley at the rear, and ladders lean against the sides. Dog teams wait near the skis. Around it, a green cobbled road winds past fences, flags, watchtowers, sleds and rows of colourful tents. The patchwork ground and the red-cross tents give pieces plenty of anchors.
