The Magic String Puppet Theater

A marionette workshop crowds every wall with strung puppets: a green dragon, a knight in armour, a witch in purple, kings, princesses and a jester dangling from their crossbars. At the centre stands a small proscenium stage lettered "The Magic String Theater", red curtains parted on a painted castle backdrop where a crowned king, a pink-gowned princess and a jester in red and green hold their pose above a row of footlights. Shelves left and right hold carved dogs and cats, masks, crowns, bolts of cloth, paint jars and tiny instruments; a rack of costumes hangs at right and a spiral stair climbs behind. A ginger cat sleeps on an orange armchair, sketches scattered across the boards. Every shelf reads as its own small cast, so the clutter breaks into workable neighbourhoods.
