Toucan Orchard Among the Treetop Huts

A toucan with an orange beak, a pale lilac throat and teal, coral and navy wings grips a thick tree branch, filling most of the frame. Yellow mushrooms, pink bellflowers and a raspberry vine grow along its feathers. Around it the canopy is a village: thatched huts with blue and green roofs sit on woven platforms, rope ladders climb the trunks, and hammocks hang under wicker balconies. Small workers carry baskets of berries, tend pots on a swing hung from the beak, and stack fruit on a round tray beside the bird's feet. Plums, red berries and orange cacao pods dangle from leafy branches on every side. Each fruit cluster, hut roof and feather band holds its own colour, so the picture breaks into pieces that are easy to tell apart.
