An underwater shipyard sits on timber decking beneath a reef, glass tunnels curving overhead with fish swimming through them. Four painted submarines rest in the docks: an orange hull with scaled plating and fins, a green one, a pink one and a blue one, each with portholes, propellers and brass fittings. Divers in copper helmets and canvas suits work the platforms, one turning a wheel valve at the left, others coiling rope and opening toolboxes on the planks. Shelves along the front hold wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers and paint tins, with a coil of rope and an anchor beside them. Coral in pink, blue and violet banks up on all sides, clownfish and a ray among it. Each submarine holds one flat colour against the reef's speckle, so the docks stay sorted.
