A vaulted bakery hums with work under a beamed roof and hanging lanterns. At the copper brick oven marked "The Great Oven", loaves brown in the firelight; beside it, tiered shelves carry strawberry cakes, tarts and glazed pastries on stands. A baker in a white hat rolls dough at the long central table among macarons, mixing bowls and a rack of rolling pins, while a woman in pink pipes cream onto a layered cake and two others knead and fill trays at the back counter. Arched windows open onto green hills, a stand mixer whirs at left, and sacks of Baker's Pride flour lean against the tiles. The foreground fills with jars of sugar, spices, nuts and fruit. Turquoise floor tiles and pastel icing split the room into two clear colour families.
